Affordable Medical, Vison, Dental, Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance through WorkLink Staffing The DRE is responsible for developing and overseeing religious education and formation programs which are consistent with the norms stipulated by the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown and approved by the pastor by utilizing the parish religious education staff to implement the education and formation of youth in the faith and insuring accurate recording of celebrated sacraments in the appropriate parish registers and making an assessment of the readiness of children and youth to receive the sacraments.
Additionally, coordinating an offering of ongoing adult faith formation each semester of the school year and/or in the summer.
What are the Job Requirements? Overseeing the parish religious education programs for grades 1-11, including students who are home-schooled.
Arranging the necessary parent informational and regular faculty meetings.
Ensuring available and appropriate classroom space for teachers and ensuring they have the materials they need.
Maintaining appropriate behavior associated with classroom sessions.
Organizing and providing a religious education program that is safe for children.
Creating and communicating program plans for teachers.
Implementing formation of all parish second graders for the sacraments of penance to be received in Advent and the Eucharist to be received in the Easter season.
Implementing formation of all parish ninth, tenth and eleventh graders for the sacrament of confirmation.
Enlisting teachers and volunteers to participate in programs including Diocesan sponsored events.
Collaborating with the principals and teachers of the Catholic grade and high schools to coordinate the programs.
Working with the pastor to ensure compliance with the education and formation requirements of the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese.
Participating in the parish's religious education planning process including as an ex officio member of the Parish Pastoral Council.
Maintaining venues of communication related to the religious education programs such as the parish website and social media sites.
Communicating with the Parish Coordinator of Diocesan Child Protection program on a regular basis to maintain records for all those in the Religious Formation Department.
Preparing budgets based upon anticipated expenses and income.
Attending staff meetings.
Other duties as assigned, to include Vacation Bible School, as needed Requirements:
Actively practicing the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Able to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan requirements.
Working toward basic Ecclesial Ministries certification through the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese.
Two years of experience implementing a religious education program.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook.
Professional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively work with children and youth, staff members and volunteers and parents.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job.
